Long Sleeve Football Shirts on Kakobuy
A long sleeve is not a size, and it is not an option you tick at checkout. It is a separate shirt, made in far smaller numbers, and on this website it occupies its own small shelf: 118 long-sleeve match shirts out of 9,236 football shirts — 1.28 per cent. We counted every one on 12 August 2026 and opened every product photograph. What we found is the reason this guide exists. Sleeve length is the most visible property a football shirt has, the one thing you can verify in a single second from a single image — and it is the property these listings get wrong. Five shirts titled "Long Sleeve" are photographed with short sleeves. This guide lists the 49 we confirmed are real, live and actually long-sleeved, names the ones that are not, and explains why you should stop searching for your kit and start searching the shelf. All of them are Kakobuy jerseys at the flat $14.06 fan-version rate unless the table says otherwise.
Start here: the shelf is not a mirror of the short-sleeve shelf
The instinct when you want a long-sleeved shirt is to find your kit and look for the long-sleeve variant. On a reps catalogue that instinct wastes an evening, because the long-sleeve shelf is not built from the same kits. We grouped every football shirt here by club and season: 448 club-season combinations exist in short sleeve, and only 43 of them — 9.6 per cent — also exist in long sleeve. For roughly nine kits in ten, there is no long-sleeve version at any price.
What is on the shelf is also lopsided. Real Madrid alone is 24 of the 118 listings, most of them retro, because one supplier ran a long-sleeved Madrid retro series. Manchester United has 10, Arsenal 7, Portugal and Italy and Germany 6 each, Liverpool 5, Barcelona 3. Then a long tail of clubs that get exactly one: Benfica, Marseille, Tottenham, Newcastle, Belgium, Fluminense, Grêmio, Venezia, Villarreal. The shape of this shelf reflects which supplier happened to make long sleeves, not which clubs are popular.
So the order of operations is: look at what is here first, then decide. Everything below was confirmed returning a live product page and confirmed long-sleeved from its own photograph before publishing.

This is where the shelf is deepest: 17 of the 118 listings are flagged retro, and Real Madrid's retro run alone accounts for most of them. Four listings that exist in long sleeve for no reason we can identify other than supplier chance — and they are a useful demonstration that this shelf is not organised around demand.

The one-second check nobody does
Here is the part that separates this category from every other one on this site. In most categories the thing that can go wrong is invisible: you cannot photograph the down fill in a puffer, or the fibre in a knit, or whether a tracksuit listing contains one garment or two. Long sleeve is the opposite. It is the most visible property a shirt has. And it is the one the listings get wrong.
We opened the product photograph of all 118 long-sleeve match shirts. Five are titled "Long Sleeve" and show a short-sleeve shirt. Every one of the five is a Real Madrid retro from the same supplier run — the 2006/07 home, the 2014/15 home player version, the 2015/16 home player version, and both the fan and player versions of the 2017/18 home. That pattern, five errors clustered in one supplier's series, is what a title template copied down a spreadsheet column looks like. It is not deception aimed at you; it is an error nobody checked. But you are the one who receives the parcel.
A sixth, the 2012/13 Real Madrid home, is not a single shirt at all: its image is a four-panel collage in which two panels show a short-sleeved shirt, one shows a long-sleeved one, and the fourth is a close-up of a collar. Which of them you would receive is not determinable from the listing.
So the check is simply this: look at the sleeves in the photograph before you look at anything else. It costs a second, it requires no expertise, and on this shelf it catches roughly one listing in twenty. We have excluded all six from the tables above, and every shirt we do list has been confirmed long-sleeved from its own image.
What else is in the search results
A search for "long sleeve" in this catalogue returns 140 items in the football category. Only 118 are match shirts. The other 22 are training vests — 2019/20 club training tops from Manchester United, Barcelona, Bayern, Dortmund, Napoli, Tottenham, Inter, Roma, Milan, Marseille, Atlético and Manchester City, priced $15.82 to $28.60. These are training garments rather than the shirt a team played in, and the Manchester United one is photographed as a blue training top next to a pair of tracksuit trousers, which tells you it is closer to our tracksuits shelf than to this one.
Three more listings are supplier collages rather than products. A listing titled "Bayern Munich Long Sleeve Jersey" is photographed as nine assorted shirts hanging on a shop rack — England, Arsenal, Tottenham, Brazil, PSG among them, and not a Bayern shirt in the frame. A "Retro Sporting CP Long Sleeve Jersey" shows twelve shirts from a dozen different clubs. And one listing named "Long Sleeve Jersey Kit" at $47.78 is photographed as a red hooded tracksuit top and matching trousers, with no jersey present at all. None of these can be ordered with any confidence about what arrives, and none are in our tables.
Four ways to write one sleeve
There is no single search string that finds this whole shelf, because it is assembled from feeds that name the sleeve differently. Of the 118 match shirts: 89 put "Long Sleeve Jersey" inside the title, 14 append it as "(Long Sleeve)" at the end, 2 write "Long Sleeved" or "Long Sleeves", and 13 sit at web addresses containing the Spanish "de manga larga" while displaying an English title. Search the exact phrase "long sleeve jersey" and you lose the fourteen retro player-name shirts. Search "long sleeved" and you find two. The short string long sleeve is the one that reaches the most of it, and even then you should read the photographs rather than the titles, for the reason set out above.
The photography problem
Long-sleeve listings average 1.13 photographs each, and 103 of the 118 have exactly one. The football shelf as a whole averages 4.09, with only 35.4 per cent of listings down to a single image. So the smallest category on the site, and the one whose defining feature is visual, gets about a quarter of the site's normal photographic coverage.
What that one image does tell you is more than you might expect: sleeve length, crest, sponsor, colourway, collar type and often the competition badges are all legible in a flat lay. What it does not tell you is how the cuff is constructed, whether the sleeve is finished with a rib or a raw hem, or whether both sleeves are the same length — which, given that five listings on this shelf are wrong about sleeves entirely, is not a paranoid question. That is why the request below is worth making.
Goalkeeper shirts: a gap, but not the one we expected
There are 123 goalkeeper shirts in this catalogue and none of them is long-sleeve. We assumed that was a failing unique to us, on the reasoning that keepers are the players you picture in long sleeves. So we checked, and the assumption turned out to be wrong.
On 12 August 2026, official retail looked like this: adidas US listed 7 goalkeeper jerseys, 2 long-sleeved; Nike US listed 16, of which 1 was long-sleeved and 7 were explicitly titled short-sleeve; the Real Madrid US shop listed 4, none long-sleeved; the Manchester United store listed 6, of which 1. Two adidas keeper shirts that named no sleeve length at all — the Argentina and Spain 2026 home keeper jerseys — turned out on inspection of the official product photography to be short-sleeved. The modern retail goalkeeper shirt is short-sleeved by default.
So our zero out of 123 is still a gap, and if a long-sleeved keeper shirt is what you want it is not here at any price — but it is a gap the manufacturers largely share. Our goalkeeper jerseys guide covers the 123 that do exist.
What the same shirt costs at the official shop
This is where the long-sleeve shelf produces its one genuinely surprising number. We priced 24 matched pairs on adidas.com US on 12 August 2026 — the same kit, same tier, short sleeve against long sleeve. The long sleeve costs $10 more. In all 24 pairs, without exception, and as a flat amount rather than a percentage.

Two things follow. First, the sleeve is priced as a fixed amount of extra fabric, not as a premium product — $10 at adidas, $10 to $15 at the club shops, whether the shirt underneath is $80 or $215. Second, this catalogue charges nothing for it: the median long-sleeve shirt here is $14.06, exactly the median of the whole football shelf, and the fan and player prices are identical to their short-sleeve equivalents. Whatever else is true about the shelf, the sleeve itself is free.
One caution on all of the above, because it is the kind of thing that gets misquoted: the channel matters more than the sleeve does. The same Real Madrid 26/27 replica is $100 on adidas.com and $125 at the club's own US shop; the same Manchester United replica is $100 on adidas.com and $150 at the club store. That is a $25 and a $50 gap on identical products, far larger than the $10 the long sleeve costs. Any comparison that does not name the shop it came from is not telling you much. Nobody's search works for this, including the manufacturers'
Earlier we said there is no single search string that finds this shelf. Having checked the official stores, that turns out not to be a reps-catalogue problem at all.
adidas.com US has no sleeve-length filter on its soccer jerseys page. We pulled the complete facet list the page offers — size, gender, product type, collection, team, team kits, personalisation, colour, price, sport, activity, best for, athlete, features — and sleeve length is not among them. It is reachable only sideways, through the product-type taxonomy. And Nike's search returns 161 results for "long sleeve soccer jersey", of which exactly one is a long-sleeve soccer jersey.
The scarcity is consistent across all of them, too. On 12 August 2026, long sleeve accounted for 46 of 353 adidas US soccer shirts (13 per cent), 3 of 441 Nike US soccer jerseys (0.68 per cent), 7 of 43 in the Real Madrid US shop (16.3 per cent) and 9 of 122 Manchester United jerseys (7.4 per cent). Our 1.28 per cent sits at the thin end of that range but inside it. Long-sleeve football shirts are rare everywhere; we are not unusually short of them, and neither is anyone else unusually well stocked.
What the rules actually say about sleeves
There is a widespread belief that sleeve length is regulated. We went to the primary source, and it is not.
The IFAB Laws of the Game 2026/27, effective 1 July 2026, list compulsory player equipment in Law 4.2 as including a shirt with sleeves — but nowhere state a length. Long or short is a free choice for an outfield player. The Premier League Handbook 2025/26 mentions sleeves three times in the entire document, all of them about where sponsor and competition badges are placed. The 2025 FIFA Equipment Regulations define long sleeves as ending at the wrist and short sleeves as ending at or above the elbow, and then never restrict which you wear.
What is regulated is the layer underneath. Law 4.3 requires that an undershirt's sleeves match the main colour of the shirt sleeve, or exactly replicate its pattern. That is the actual constraint, and it is the reason a player who wants warm arms under a short-sleeved shirt cannot simply put on any base layer. Historically this is recent: we read IFAB's own archived editions and the undershirt-colour rule enters Law 4 as a recommendation in 2007/08 and hardens into a requirement in 2008/09, while the requirement for shirts to have sleeves at all appears as a Board decision around 2002/03.
The practical point for a buyer: a long-sleeved shirt and a short-sleeved shirt plus a base layer are not equivalent purchases, and the difference is a real rule rather than a matter of taste.
What to ask before you pay
Two requests, both of which an agent can complete in under a minute.
- One photo: the shirt held up with both sleeves extended. This settles the mislabelling problem outright and confirms that both cuffs are finished identically. On a shelf where 87 per cent of listings give you a single flat-lay image, it is the highest-value photograph you can request. Our QC photos guide explains how to word the request.
- One line of text: club, season and version confirmed in writing before payment. Long-sleeve titles here carry unusually dense season and version information, and they are demonstrably the titles most likely to have been copied wrong.
On sizing, treat a long-sleeve shirt as the same body size you would order in short sleeve — the difference is sleeve length, not fit through the chest. If your arms are long relative to your torso, that is the one case where the extended-sleeve photograph earns its keep twice over.

Why are long-sleeve football shirts so hard to find?
Because they are genuinely rare rather than hidden. We counted every football shirt in this catalogue on 12 August 2026: 9,236 shirts, of which 118 are long-sleeve match shirts. That is 1.28 per cent. It is not a filter you have failed to find and it is not a stock problem that will resolve next week — the long-sleeve shelf is roughly one-eightieth the size of the short-sleeve shelf, and it is built from different kits rather than being a smaller copy of the same ones. The practical consequence is the thing most guides skip: you cannot start from your kit and add a sleeve. You have to start from the long-sleeve shelf and see whether your kit happens to be on it.
Is my club available in long sleeve?
Probably not, and the number is worth knowing before you spend an evening searching. We grouped every football shirt here by club and season — 448 distinct club-season combinations are on the shelf in short sleeve. Only 43 of them also exist in long sleeve, which is 9.6 per cent. Do the listings ever get the sleeve length wrong?
Yes, and this is the one finding we would most want a buyer to take away. We opened the product photograph of all 118 long-sleeve match shirts one by one. Five of them are titled "Long Sleeve" and photographed showing a short-sleeve shirt: the 2006/07, 2014/15 (player version), 2015/16 (player version) and both 2017/18 Real Madrid home listings. All five are Real Madrid retro shirts from the same supplier run, which is what a copy-paste error in a title template looks like. A sixth listing, the 2012/13 Real Madrid home, is a four-panel supplier collage in which two of the four shirts shown are short-sleeved. We have left all six out of our tables. The reason this matters more here than elsewhere is that sleeve length is not a hidden specification — it is the most obvious thing in the photograph. The listing is making a claim the image directly contradicts, and it takes one second to catch.
What else shows up when I search "long sleeve"?
Three things that are not match shirts, totalling 26 of the 140 hits. The largest group is 22 listings called "Long Sleeve Training Vest" — 2019/20 club training tops from Manchester United, Barcelona, Bayern, Dortmund, Napoli, Tottenham, Inter, Roma, Milan, Marseille, Atletico and Manchester City, priced $15.82 to $28.60. These are training garments, not the kit the team played in, and at least one is photographed as a top and trousers together. Then there are three supplier collages: a "Bayern Munich Long Sleeve Jersey" whose photograph is nine different shirts on a rack, none of which is Bayern, and a "Retro Sporting CP Long Sleeve Jersey" showing twelve shirts from a dozen different clubs. Finally there is one listing called "Long Sleeve Jersey Kit" at $47.78 whose photograph is a red hooded tracksuit top and a pair of tracksuit trousers — no jersey of any kind.
Why does the same shirt appear under different names?
Because this shelf is assembled from several supplier feeds that each name the sleeve differently, and no single search string reaches all of them. Of the 118 match shirts, 89 use the pattern "Long Sleeve Jersey" inside the title, 14 carry it as a parenthesis at the end — "(Long Sleeve)" — and 2 use "Long Sleeved" or "Long Sleeves". A further 13 have Spanish slugs, so the same shirt sits at a web address containing "de manga larga" while the visible title reads "Long Sleeve". If you search the exact phrase "long sleeve jersey" you will miss the ones written the other way round, and if you search "long sleeved" you will find two shirts and conclude the shelf is empty. Search the short string "long sleeve" and sort by what you actually see in the photographs.
How many photos do I get, and why does that matter here?
Fewer than anywhere else on the site, which is an unfortunate combination with the mislabelling above. The long-sleeve shirts average 1.13 photographs per listing and 103 of the 118 have exactly one. The football shelf as a whole averages 4.09 and only 35.4 per cent of it is down to a single image. So the rarest category, and the one whose defining feature is a visual one, is photographed at roughly a quarter of the site average. In practice you are making this decision on one flat-lay image. That single image is enough to confirm sleeve length, crest, sponsor and colourway — which is most of what can go wrong — but it will not show you cuff construction, the inside of the sleeve, or how the sleeve is finished at the wrist. The median long-sleeve shirt in this catalogue is $14.06 — exactly the median of the whole football shelf — and the fan and player prices are the same $14.06 and $22.21 as their short-sleeve equivalents. At official retail on 12 August 2026 we priced 24 matched pairs on adidas.com US, same kit and same tier, and the long sleeve cost $10 more in every single one: Real Madrid 26/27 home replica $100 against $110, the authentic $160 against $170, Manchester United the same. The club shops charge $10 to $15 more — Real Madrid $125 against $140 for the replica, Manchester United $150 against $160. Note it is a flat amount, not a percentage: the sleeve is priced as fabric, not as a premium. Worth keeping in proportion, though — the same Real Madrid replica is $100 on adidas.com and $125 at the club shop, so the channel you buy from moves the price more than the sleeve does.
Are long-sleeve shirts allowed in matches, or is sleeve length regulated?
Sleeve length is not regulated at all, which surprised us enough that we went to the primary source to be sure. The IFAB Laws of the Game 2026/27, effective 1 July 2026, list compulsory equipment in Law 4.2 as including a shirt with sleeves — but state no length, so long or short is a free choice for an outfield player. The Premier League Handbook 2025/26 mentions sleeves three times in the whole document, every time about where sponsor and competition badges go, and never about length. The 2025 FIFA Equipment Regulations define a long sleeve as ending at the wrist and a short sleeve as ending at or above the elbow, then place no restriction on which you wear. What is regulated is the layer underneath: Law 4.3 requires an undershirt's sleeves to match the main colour of the shirt sleeve or exactly replicate its pattern. That rule is more recent than people assume — reading IFAB's archived editions, it enters Law 4 as a recommendation in 2007/08 and becomes a requirement in 2008/09, while the requirement for shirts to have sleeves at all appears as a Board decision around 2002/03.
What should I ask for before I pay?
One photograph and one sentence. The photograph is the shirt held up with both sleeves extended, so you can see that both sleeves reach the wrist and that the cuff is finished the same way on each side. This is the single most useful request in this category because it settles the mislabelling problem directly, and because 87 per cent of these listings gave you only one image to begin with. The sentence is a written confirmation of club, season and version before payment, since long-sleeve titles here carry more season and version information than usual and are demonstrably the ones most likely to be copied wrong. Neither request is unusual and both take an agent under a minute.
