Football Training Kits and Pre-Match Shirts on Kakobuy
There are three shirts with your club's badge on them and only one of them was ever worn in a match. The second is the pre-match shirt the players warm up in. The third is training kit, which never leaves the training ground. This catalogue stocks all three, and on 13 August 2026 we counted 402 of them across our seven product files — 139 pre-match, 263 training. Then we opened the photographs. What came back is the reason this guide is not a list of nice tracksuits: the English noun on these listings records which language the supplier wrote in, not what is in the bag. The same Arsenal tracksuit is on this shelf twice, once as a "Kit" at $14.06 and once as a "Tracksuit" at $30.20. It is not the only one — there are 27 such pairs, and the price gap is exactly the same in all 27.
First, the three garments are genuinely different products
This is not a distinction reps sellers invented. It exists at full retail, with three separate price bands, and knowing them is what stops you paying for the wrong one.
We priced all three manufacturers' US stores on 13 August 2026. A pre-match shirt costs $70 at adidas — flat across Real Madrid, Manchester United, Bayern, Liverpool, Arsenal, Juventus and Club America 26/27, with the kids' version at $60. Nike charges $70 to $77, with Chelsea, Inter Milan, PSG Away and Barcelona Home all at $77. PUMA lists the AC Milan version at $65. Against that, a replica match jersey at the same adidas store is $100 and an authentic is $160.
Training kit is a third band again, and we priced it on 3 August: a club quarter-zip training top is $75 at both adidas and PUMA, training trousers $70 at both, so $145 for the pair. That is more than a replica shirt. Training kit is not the cheap end of the range — it is the expensive end.
The naming at retail is more careful than you would expect, and it is worth borrowing. PUMA sells the Manchester City pre-match garment as a "Warm-Up Jersey". Nike files its versions as "Pre-Match Top", not jersey. Both are telling you the same thing: this is the shirt for the twenty minutes before kick-off.
Pre-match shirts: the loud ones
Pre-match designs are consistently bolder than the kits they precede — that is their job, since they are what the cameras see during the warm-up. Every shirt below is $14.06 in fan version, and every one returned a live product page and had its photograph opened at full size before we listed it.

Two things about dates. Only 27 of the 139 pre-match listings are 2025/26 or newer — 13 nations for 2026, 10 clubs for 25/26, and just 3 for 26/27. The remaining 112 run back through 2024, 2022 and as far as 2020. So if you are hunting the warm-up shirt from a specific game you remember, your odds here are unusually good; if you want this season's, the shelf is thinner than it looks.
The pre-match shelf is not all shirts
Of the 139 listings, 120 are jerseys. The rest are three other garments, and this feed names them accurately — which turns out to matter later.

Note what that supplier did: when the garment is sleeveless it says Sleeveless Top, when it is shorts it says Shorts, when it is a jacket it says Track Jacket. Hold that thought.
"Training Vest" is not a vest, and often not one garment
114 listings here call themselves a training vest. We opened 24 of them — a systematic sample across clubs and seasons — and the results are consistent enough to state plainly.
All 24 out of 24 are photographed as two garments: a top and a pair of shorts, or for the 2019/20 run a top and full-length trousers. The title names one garment. The picture shows two.
And the word "vest" does not predict sleeves either. Of the 24, fourteen were genuinely sleeveless — Bayern, Juventus, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester United and others. Four had short sleeves, including the blue Barcelona Spotify set and the Inter Miami AutoNation set. Six had long sleeves: the 2019/20 club run, which is sold under the openly self-contradicting title "Long Sleeve Training Vest". AC Milan, Barcelona, Dortmund, Manchester City, Marseille and Tottenham all appear that way, at $23.65.
One more number, and it is the one that should change your behaviour: all 114 of these listings have zero additional photographs. Not a small number — zero. The pre-match shelf averages 5.72 extra images and 124 of its 139 listings have at least one. So the shelf with the least reliable titles is also the shelf with the least evidence attached to them.

Is there an official equivalent to compare against? Barely. Searching adidas US for "sleeveless soccer" returns three results, all the same garment — the Tiro 25 Competition Sleeveless Jersey at $40, plain, no club badge. A search for a soccer training bib returns nothing and silently redirects to a pair of compression tights. Nike returned no sleeveless soccer training top at all. Training-ground clothing is not really retailed, which is the most plausible reason this shelf is named so loosely: there is no official product name to copy.
The same tracksuit, twice, at two prices
This is the finding we would most want you to take away, and it took a machine to see it. We reduced the product photograph of every listing in this category to a perceptual hash and compared all 402 against each other. 40 groups came back where the same image appears under more than one listing, covering 89 listings. We then opened the pairs by eye to confirm the machine was right — the Arsenal, Mexico, Barcelona and Germany pairs are the same garment photographed in slightly different crops, not two similar products.
In 27 of those groups the listings carry different prices, and it is the same pair every single time: $14.06 and $30.20. Not a spread, not a range — the identical two numbers, 27 times, a factor of 2.15. Here is a portion of that list:
The other seventeen follow the same pattern: Al Hilal, Al Nassr, Algeria, Atlético Madrid, Ajax, Boca Juniors, Colombia, Fluminense, France, Inter Miami, Inter Milan, Marseille, Napoli, Santos, São Paulo, Senegal and Alt. Madrid.
We are deliberately not telling you the $14.06 listing is a bargain, because we cannot demonstrate that the two ship the same thing. Consider what $14.06 is on this website: it is the price of a single fan-version football shirt, and it appears on 6,612 of our 26,951 listings — about a quarter of everything here. $30.20 appears on 260. So a photograph showing a jacket and trousers, priced at the number we charge for one shirt, is a listing whose two most important fields disagree. Only the seller can settle that, and asking takes one message.
Why this happens: the noun is a translation
The mechanism is visible in the web addresses. Of the 263 training listings, 40 have Spanish slugs and 24 have French ones. And the correlation with the English title is close to total:
- All 24 French-slug listings are titled "Tracksuit" — from survêtement.
- The Spanish ones, from conjunto de entrenamiento, come through as Kit 20 times, Jersey 15 times, Tracksuit 5 times.
Germany is the clean demonstration. One listing lives at a Spanish address and is called a Training Kit. Another lives at a French address and is called a Training Tracksuit. Both photographs show the same black adidas full-zip suit with red sleeve panels and the four-star DFB crest. Nothing about the garment changed between those two titles — only the language the supplier was writing in.
Once you know that, the whole shelf reads differently. "Kit", "Tracksuit", "Jersey" and "Vest" are not four categories. They are four translations, applied by different feeds, sitting in one list.
What is safely a two-piece tracksuit
If you want a full club tracksuit — jacket or quarter-zip plus matching trousers — the $30.20 listings are the price-consistent side of the shelf, and we opened every photograph below.

Single-garment training tops
If you want just the top, these are photographed as one garment. Two of them are worth naming because they are the current-season versions.

Note the Flamengo row: titled "Training Jersey", photographed with long sleeves. It is one garment, so the count is right, but the sleeve is not in the title — the same blind spot we found across the wider shelf in our long-sleeve football shirts guide. How to buy from this shelf
- Decide which of the three garments you want first. Match shirt, warm-up shirt, or training kit. They are different products at retail and different products here.
- Search all four words. Kit, tracksuit, jersey and vest reach different feeds. Searching one of them shows you a fraction of the shelf.
- Count the garments in the photograph. Not the noun, not the price — both fail here, demonstrably.
- Check for a twin. If a set is $14.06, search the same club under the other three words. In 27 confirmed cases there is a second listing of the same photograph at $30.20.
- Ask one question before paying: how many garments are included at this price. For vests, add: does the top have sleeves, and how long.
- Request a flat-lay photo of everything included, laid out together. On the vest shelf you are starting from a single image, because there is no second one.
None of this makes the shelf a bad place to shop. A two-piece club tracksuit at $30.20 against $145 at adidas, or a pre-match shirt at $14.06 against $70, is a real gap. It just means the listing is a starting point for a question rather than a description you can rely on — and on this particular shelf, more than on any other we have measured, the question is worth the minute it takes.

How much do pre-match shirts cost at the official shop?
We priced all three manufacturers on 13 August 2026. adidas US lists 34 pre-match results and the adult price is flat: $70 for Real Madrid, Manchester United, Bayern, Liverpool, Arsenal, Juventus and Club America 26/27 alike, with kids at $60. Nike US runs $70 to $77 — Chelsea, Inter Milan, PSG Away and Barcelona Home are all $77, the Barcelona Away Kobe version and Brazil Academy Pro are $72, and a knit "Pre-Match Drill Top" for Barcelona is $90. PUMA lists the AC Milan Prematch jersey at $65 before a discount. So the official pre-match shirt is a $65–$77 garment against $100 for a replica match jersey and $160 for an authentic at the same adidas store. It is cheaper than the match shirt but it is not a budget item, and it is not a downgraded version of the kit — it is its own product.
Why does the same tracksuit appear twice at two different prices?
Because it arrived in this catalogue twice, through two different supplier feeds, and nothing joined the records up. We hashed the product photograph of all 402 listings in this category and found 40 groups where the same image appears under more than one listing, covering 89 listings in total. In 27 of those groups the two listings carry different prices — and it is the same pair every single time, with no variation at all: $14.06 against $30.20, a factor of 2.15. Arsenal, Bayern, Dortmund, Manchester City, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Benfica, Boca Juniors, Portugal, Colombia, Senegal and fifteen others are all on that list. We are not telling you the cheap one is a bargain, because we cannot show you that the two listings ship the same thing. We are telling you to look at both before you pay, which nobody can do if they do not know the second one exists.
Which price should I believe when the same photo has two?
Neither, on its own — ask. Here is the thing that makes the guessing unsafe: $14.06 is not a tracksuit price on this website, it is the default football price. It appears on 6,612 of the 26,951 listings in the whole catalogue, roughly a quarter of everything we sell, and it is what a single fan-version shirt costs. $30.20 appears on 260 listings. So when a photograph showing a jacket and a pair of trousers carries the same number as a single shirt, the two fields are telling you different stories and only the seller can settle it. Send your agent the link and ask, in one sentence, how many garments are included at that price. It costs a minute and it is the only step in this guide we would call mandatory.
What is a "Training Vest" here — is it sleeveless?
Sometimes, and that is the problem. We opened the photographs of 24 of the 114 listings that call themselves a training vest. Fourteen were genuinely sleeveless. Ten had sleeves — four short and six long, the long ones being the 2019/20 club tops sold under the self-contradicting title "Long Sleeve Training Vest". So the word predicts nothing about sleeves. What it does predict, in all 24 out of 24 we opened, is that you are looking at two garments: a top and a pair of shorts, or for the 2019/20 run a top and full-length trousers. The word "vest" names one garment and the photograph shows two. Read the picture, not the noun.
Can I buy a club training vest from adidas or Nike instead?
We looked, and essentially no. Searching adidas US for "sleeveless soccer" returns three results and they are all the same garment: the Tiro 25 Competition Sleeveless Jersey at $40, a plain training top with no club badge on it. Searching adidas for a soccer training bib returns no match at all — the site quietly redirects to an unrelated pair of compression tights. A Nike US search for a sleeveless soccer training top returned twenty results that were all boots and jerseys, with nothing sleeveless among them. Training-ground kit is not really a retail category, which is the most likely explanation for why this corner of our catalogue has the loosest naming in it: there is no official product name for the supplier to copy.
Why does the same garment have three different English names?
Because the English noun records which language the supplier listing arrived in, not what the garment is. Of the 263 training listings, 40 have Spanish web addresses and 24 have French ones. Every single one of the 24 French-slug listings — from "survêtement" — is titled Tracksuit. The Spanish ones, from "conjunto de entrenamiento", come through as Kit 20 times and Jersey 15 times. The clearest case is Germany: one listing sits at a Spanish address and is called a Training Kit, another sits at a French address and is called a Training Tracksuit, and the two photographs are the same black adidas full-zip suit with red sleeve panels. Nothing about the garment changed between those two titles. Only the source language did.
How many photos do these listings give me?
It depends entirely on which shelf you are on, and the gap is the largest we have measured in one category. The pre-match listings are well documented: 124 of 139 carry extra photographs beyond the main image, averaging 5.72 each. The training vests carry zero. Not a low number — zero, across all 114 of them, so the single flat-lay is the entire evidence base for that shelf. If you are buying a vest set, the photo request is not optional, and the one to ask for is the two garments laid out together with a tape measure across the chest and the waistband.
Are the pre-match shirts current-season?
Mostly not, and it is worth knowing before you search for this year's. Of 139 pre-match listings, only 27 are 2025/26 or newer — 13 are 2026 national teams, 10 are 25/26 clubs, and just 3 are 26/27. The other 112 are 2024 and older, with 2024 alone accounting for 25 and a long tail back to 2020. This shelf is an archive of warm-up shirts rather than a current-season rack, which cuts both ways: the odds of finding the exact shirt from a game you remember are unusually good, and the odds of finding this season's are worse than they are for match kits.
Does the pre-match feed get anything wrong?
Not that we could find, and the contrast with the vests is the useful part. We opened 35 pre-match listings one by one at full resolution. The 120 jerseys are single short-sleeve shirts, as claimed. The ten titled "Pre Match Sleeveless Top" are genuinely sleeveless, the eight titled "Pre Match Soccer Shorts" are shorts, and the single track jacket is a jacket. One caution from our own process: the Real Madrid white sleeveless top looks sleeved in a thumbnail because of its navy shoulder panels, and we briefly recorded it as a mislabel before opening it full size, where it is plainly sleeveless. Judge these at full resolution, not from a grid. Two feeds, two standards — the pre-match supplier names garments precisely and the training supplier does not.
What should I ask the agent before paying?
Three sentences, in this order. First, how many garments are included at this price — this is the one that matters, because the noun and the price both fail as evidence here and the photograph is not a contract. Second, for anything called a vest, whether the top has sleeves, and if so how long. Third, a photograph of everything included laid out flat together. If you have found the same photo at $14.06 and $30.20, send both links in the same message and ask which one includes what; you are not haggling, you are asking the seller to resolve a contradiction in their own listings.
